Group Rated Timber Wall Panels for Commercial Fit-Outs
Feature Panel offers independently tested NZ fire-rated timber panels suitable for commercial interior applications requiring a Group classification under the New Zealand Building Code (C/AS2–C/AS7).
Our tested profiles achieve Group 3 as standard and can achieve up to Group 1-S when an approved intumescent coating system is applied.
Independently Tested Timber Profiles
We work with Fire Zone, who have tested our raw timber profiles for compliance.
The following profiles achieve Group 3 and are suitable for commercial fit-outs requiring a Group rating:

Ripple 150– Black Walnut or Oak veneer

Wave 41 – Oak or Black Walnut Flow Range

Ripple 60 – Oak or Black Walnut Flow Range
Achieving Group 2, Group 1 & Group 1-S
For projects requiring higher performance, we specify FireZone 92 by Zone Architectural Products.
When applied by an approved applicator to the above Feature Panel, timber substrates that meet the following criteria:

Minimum density: 338kg/m³

Minimum thickness: 9mm
FireZone 92 has been tested to achieve Group 1-S.
This allows our fire-rated timber wall panels to meet stringent commercial requirements.
